MOJA, an Interdisciplinary Journal of Africana Studies
Welcome to Moja, an interdisciplinary journal of Africana Studies. Moja presents an open-access platform for interdisciplinary scholarly dialogues on topics from all disciplines related to Africana (African-Diasporic, African, or African-American) studies. Moja publishes interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary work, exploring the contours of Africa and the African Diaspora. We provide spaces to explore subjects, stories and experiences from multiple systems of knowledge and knowing. We are not only interested in the traditional ways of understanding “disciplinary views,” but creating spaces for varied views. Moja invites the submission of scholarly, critical, theoretical, or pedagogical manuscripts or other modalities such as spoken word performance or visual arts. Submissions are peer-reviewed by members of our Editorial Board, as well as other affiliated scholars.
